Role Overview
The Investment Associate will play a key role in evaluating investment opportunities, supporting M&A activities, and building robust financial models for internal projects, partnerships, and external transactions. The role requires strong financial modelling skills, attention to detail, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
� Build and maintain detailed financial models for investment opportunities, including DCF, scenario, and sensitivity analyses;
� Evaluate potential M&A, licensing, and partnership opportunities within the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors;
� Support due diligence processes, including financial, operational, and market analysis;
� Prepare investment memoranda, presentations, and recommendations for senior management and investment committees;
� Monitor performance of existing investments and provide regular reporting and variance analysis;
� Conduct industry research on pharmaceutical markets, competitors, and pipeline developments;
� Assist in capital allocation decisions, including project prioritization and ROI analysis;
� Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, R&D, strategy, and business development.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor�s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field;
- 1-3 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate finance, or transaction advisory (pharma/healthcare exposure preferred);
- Strong financial modelling skills (Excel proficiency is essential);
- Solid understanding of valuation methodologies (DCF, comparables, precedent transactions);
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills with strong attention to detail;
- Ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly and effectively in English (written and verbal).
Preferred Qualifications
- Progress toward or completion of CFA designation;
- Experience in investment analysis and with PowerPoint for investor-grade presentations
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare investment analysis, drug development economics, clinical trial phases, or regulatory frameworks is not mandatory but would be a strong advantage.
